“Intensity is a skill.” – Martina Navratilova

The tennis season has gotten off to a rollicking start this year with the incredible winning streak of Novak Djokovic. And now, only Federer stands between Djokovic and the record books – they are set to play in a highly anticipated semifinal match on Friday at the French Open. For those of you who don’t already know: if Djokovic wins, he will become the number one seed in the world and also equal John McEnroe’s 1984 record streak of 42 straight wins. The French Open is inspiring fans and players alike to revel in the adrenaline and excitement of the tournament. We love it!

Also at the French Open, royal sister Pippa Middleton was spotted taking in a match with friends on Monday. Apparently both she and her sister are avid tennis players and fans. Recently the British press has been spreading word, backed by royal sources, that the newly married Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, will be presenting a trophy at Wimbledon. That’s our gossip tidbit for the day.
