This July 4th took on an even bigger meaning for members of the skiing and snowboarding community! The IOC announced yesterday that Men’s and Women’s slopestyle skiing and snowboarding will be Olympic events in the 2014 Sochi Winter Games!
June 15th, 2011 was another first for the ski industry. On the 15th the USSA announced a listed of nominated US skiing athletes that will begin to train as the first ever US Freeskiing team. These 9 men and women nominated are some of the countries best superpipe talent. With the announcement yesterday on the slopestyle event we can expect the USSA to nominate another group of the United States most talented slopestyle skier’s. This current list of nominated athletes consists of:
